Belief Statements

At Saint Matthew School we believe that…

We strive to be a Catholic faith community that fosters an environment in which the Gospel message facilitates our spiritual development and enhances our moral values.

We endeavor to support all members of our school community in their relationship with a loving God by nurturing their Catholic faith which is at the heart of all we do.

We seek to provide a rigorous curriculum that engages our students, recognizes their individual learning styles, and challenges each child to develop to his/her full potential by laying the foundation for lifelong learning.

We foster an atmosphere of love and respect within our school, by creating a welcoming and safe environment.

We encourage an understanding of our students as unique individuals by respecting the diversity of each other’s talents and gifts.

We are committed to the collaborative efforts of the school and parish leadership, faculty, parents, and students to promote the moral and spiritual growth of our Catholic faith, which we cultivate through liturgical celebration, prayer, religious instruction, community service, and social and cultural events.

We aspire to prepare students for their future educational endeavors and participation in the global society. The leadership and faculty of Saint Matthew School consistently promote the utilization of innovative technologies as a means of supporting an environment of academic achievement and excellence.
