“The pessimist complains about the wind,
The optimist expects it to change,
And the realist adjusts the sails.”
                        William Arthur Ward
It has been my pleasure to work with the students in grades K-4 for the past 26 years at St Matthew School. I was hired in March 1976 for CORA Services during its formative years so I guess you can call me one of her pioneers. What I love about my job is each class, each day is a new adventure in education. Each student who walks into my classroom is who I focus upon. I ask myself “What can I do to help them understand what the task they have and how can I strengthen their skills to ensure they continue to enjoy what they learn?”
As a Penn State grad I love supporting the NIttany Lion football team as well as other sports. The Flyers and Phillies are my favorite Pro teams.
Music represents the language of life and most weekends you can find me at a local venue supporting local talent or rock classics.
I believe it is important to give to those less fortunate and provide meals for the homeless through The Bethesda Project. I also support Philadoptables and encourage many friends and acquaintances to help the many abandoned dogs and cats in our communities.
As I encounter problems in life I adjust my sails and set a course for a postive tomorrow.
