I am very excited to be teaching at St. Matthew School. I live in the Tacony section of Northeast Philadelphia and am a member of St. Matthew Parish. I live with my husband Paul and our two wonderful children, Leah and Nicholas. We also have a very silly cat named Marsden. I attended Holy Family University and received my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education in 1993. Shortly after that, I was hired by the Archdiocese of Philadelphia to teach Pre-K at St. Peter the Apostle School in Northern Liberties and remained the Pre-K teacher there for seven years. During that time I received my Master’s Degree in Education and became PA state certified to teach both elementary and early childhood education. In 2000, I opened up my own preschool program called “Little Victorian Village” where I was the owner, director and lead teacher. Operating my own early learning center was a wonderful and rewarding experience that lasted 10 years. I sold my business in 2010 and shortly after was hired to teach Kindergarten at St. Bernadette of Lourdes in Drexel Hill and remained there until June, 2014 (3 years). I have had the privilege of teaching many children throughout my teaching career and I feel blessed to be a part of the St. Matthew School community. Last year, I had the pleasure of teaching 3rd grade here at St. Matt’s and this year I am thrilled to be back in Pre-K 🙂
In my free time I enjoy reading, musical theatre, and spending time with my family. I teach tap classes at Anna Marie’s Academy of Dance and also choreograph for a local theatre group.
