Kristin Wermuth grew up in Mayfair and attended Saint Matthew School and Nazareth Academy. She received a bachelor’s degree in English and Fine Arts from St. Joseph’s University in 1998. After graduating, she taught English at a boarding school in Bad Mergentheim, Germany for one year. In 2005 she received my Master’s of Education from St. Joseph’s University. Prior to teaching at St. Matthew’s she was a teacher for the School District of Philadelphia. Since she has come to St. Matthew’s she has taught 2nd and 1st grade. This is her ninth year teaching first grade At Saint Matthew’s and her second year as director of the AfterCares Program.

 In her spare time, she enjoys reading going to the beach, doing crafty things, watching movies, and fostering rabbits for Luv-N-Bunns Rabbit Rescue.

She now lives in Glenside with her rabbits.
