“The more that you read, the more things you will know.  The more you learn, the more places you’ll go!”
Dr. Seuss
My name is Maryellen Stauble and I have been teaching at St. Matthew School since September, 2000.  I have taught in fourth grade, the Resource Room for fifth and sixth grade, and presently, I am a second grade teacher.  While I graduated many years ago from Holy Family College, in 2012, I earned my Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from Cabrini College. However, my real education happens daily in my classroom.  I am still learning, along with my students.  I feel fortunate to teach in a school that allows me to instill a love for learning in my students, while fostering their love of God.
On a personal note, I have been happily married for 31 years.  My husband, Jim, and I have raised three wonderful children: Jimmy, Matthew, and Melanie.  They are the loves of my life.  We enjoy spending time together, whether it is for Sunday dinners or family vacations. Hawaii was my favorite!  My family jokes about my profession.  They sometimes felt like they were living in a classroom.  It’s hard for a teacher not to teach.
Life is good!  I wake up every morning, thankful that I get to live the life I was meant to live.
